Cat didn’t like it

KatlinS

Cat really didn’t like it. Would nibble at it, after a year I switched to another dry food k/d that was more palatable. Kidney levels were stable while on this diet.

Love the idea of early support. Apparently Hills does not since this diet is being discontinued with no explanation.

Love the food, hate that it’s being discontinued

My cat loves this food, it’s the only thing she will eat. I recently received an email that said this diet is going to be discontinued. I now have to try Royal Canin or ProPlan to see if she will eat either early care renal diet. Disappointed that this will no longer be available.

My senior absolutely loves this. It’s a life saver we were having trouble getting him to eat and after a week of use his appetite has increased. He loves this stuff!

Be More Transparent

Unhappy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second review I've written, but assuming it will not be published, just like the other one I left months ago was not. I am very upset with the lack of transparency on whether or not this food will every be in production/available to the public again. I find it egregious that my two cats with early stage chronic kidney disease have been doing so well on this food for well over a few years, and then for it to be unavailable for many months now, is tragic. My cats are NOT adjusting well to the "substitute" of the full blown KD food, which I knew might be an issue as I had two prior cats with CKD that hated the KD food and would never eat it. Course, now that is happening with my cats. Either they won't eat it, or when they do, they puke immediately. Very very very upset with the nebulous situation going on - will it or will it not ever be available again? And what truly is the real reason? I have called Hills Science Diet multiple times and have been told it is the can size being unavailable (yet that same can size is used on many other foods), it is some other reason? What is the true reason, and what is the true status? I am very unhappy with the lack of transparency, and am very upset that my cats are now sadly going to progress I fear with their CKD, while trying to transition to the KD food which they hate and won't eat. Thank you.
