Description

GloFish aquarium gravel and gravel accents are the perfect way to quickly convert any aquarium into an exquisite fish environment. These brightly colored gravels are designed to help create an underwater paradise for your fluorescent fish and stand out beautifully under blue LED lights. This gravel not only provides a base for all your ornaments and plants, but it also looks magical under your aquarium's blue LED lights. GloFish Aquarium Gravel is available in a range of colors. Rinse gravel before using. For the best viewing experience, try using a blue wavelength light, like LED lighting, to give a uniquely fluorescent look, particularly in low or nighttime lighting. Traditional white aquarium lights (such as fluorescent or halogen lights) work well for daytime use. The fluorescent fish absorb light and then re-emit it, so they will appear brighter and more vibrant as the amount of light is increased. The fluorescent fish are born brilliant.

  • - Aquarium gravel: Our aquarium gravel creates a colorful base for all your ornaments
  • - Bask in the glow: Fluorescent-accented gravel stands out under the pink/green/blue mix LED lights
  • - Highlights your tank: Use as a substrate or accent, along with the plants and ornaments (sold separately)
  • - Great experience: The fluorescent fish and products create a complete underwater fluorescent experience

I bought this for my Glofish Betta to complement his color. I followed all the directions & rinsed the gravel well. 24 hours later, I wake up to find him dead and his water all cloudy, even though I did an 80:20 water change just yesterday and the filter works just fine. I've had him for 8 months and have had no problems before using this gravel. I looked up other reviews of this gravel from different sites, and other people report their fish dying within 24 hours of adding this gravel. I'm devastated and wish I had never added this to his tank. Please reconsider before buying this.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

How many millimeters is the gravel?

How should this gravel be cleaned?

    1. get gloves, a strainer, and use tap water or bottled water, begin by putting on the gloves and putting the rocks into the strainer, once they're in the strainer turn on the tap or use bottled water for a continuous stream of water while you move the rocks by overturning the rocks continuously, never use soap while cleaning the rocks or anything that will be in your tank, if you don't want to do this you could also buy a syphon and just syphon the rocks which cleans them, hope this helped :)
