Description

These brightly colored gravels are designed to help create an underwater paradise for your fluorescent fish and stand out beautifully under blue LED lights. This gravel not only provides a base for all your ornaments and plants, but it also looks magical under your fish aquarium's blue LED lights. Gravel is available in a range of colors. Rinse gravel before using. For the best viewing experience, try using a blue wavelength light, like LED lighting, to give a uniquely fluorescent look, particularly in low or nighttime lighting. Traditional white aquarium lights (such as fluorescent or halogen lights) work well for daytime use. The fluorescent fish are born brilliant. They get their natural, vibrant color from their parents and are not injected, painted or dyed. Enhanced by a full range of aquarium kits, lighting, decor and accessories.

  • - Aquarium gravel: The aquarium gravel creates a colorful base for all your ornaments
  • - Bask in the glow: Fluorescent-accented gravel stands out under our blue LED lights
  • - Highlights your tank: Use as a substrate or accent, along with the plants and ornaments (sold separately)
  • - Great experience: The fluorescent fish and accessories create a complete underwater fluorescent experience

Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise the gravel for its vibrant neon speckles and dark base that create striking visual contrast, making fish stand out beautifully under white and blue lighting. Most appreciate how it transforms tanks and enhances the glow effect, with many repurchasing for multiple setups. Reviewers note it works well as substrate for planted and quarantine tanks. While most find it easy to use, thorough rinsing is recommended to prevent initial cloudiness and residual particles. A few mention the color ratio differs from original kits, but overall customers consider it an excellent aesthetic choice.

Broken Promises/Horrible Service

My package has yet too arrive. I made the purchase online on 2/12, and was told that my order would be delivered on 2/14. On 2/13 I was informed that my package will arrive on 2/15. On 2/14 I received an email stating that my order will be at my address on Sunday 2/16. Upon tracking my package I noticed it had not moved from its location for 3 days and counting. Sunday my package did not arrive as promised... I decided to check my email and was very disappointed to read that now my order is set to be delivered on Thursday 2/20. I will never order from Petco again!

I love how this glofish gravel looks under regular white lights and blue lights. The little pops of color with the black contrast is so eye catching! I have this gravel in a few of my tanks, including planted tanks, and it really just goes with any theme and any tank. I deff recommend to anyone who is looking for a dark gravel without having it be all one color :).

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have rinsed the gravel multiple times and it has so much sandy particulates that I am not confident that it will be safe for my fish. Even after I thought it would be fine and I put it into my new tank, the gravel started to float up into the water. I assume that could potentially kill a fish if they breathe it in or eat it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
