Fill your clean litter box with 3-4 inches of Fresh Step litter. Pour litter no more than a few inches from the box OR keep the pouch close to the box when pouring litter. Litter quickly forms a clump around liquid waste. Remove clumps and solids daily, and dispose of in trash. Do not flush. Add more Fresh Step clumping cat litter to refresh your litter box. Maintain level of litter at 3-4 inches.
Toxoplasmosis Warning: We would like to remind our customers, especially pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, that cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, always remember to wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. For further information, consult your doctor.

Customers say
Customers overwhelmingly praise this unscented litter for its effective odor control, excellent clumping ability, and low-dust formula. Many highlight how the fragrance-free option benefits cats with sensitivities and improves household air quality, with reviewers noting reduced sneezing and respiratory improvements. The tight, easy-to-scoop clumps minimize mess and simplify daily cleaning, while the minimal dust levels appeal to homes with respiratory-sensitive pets. Most customers report strong cat approval and long-term loyalty, with many using it for years. A few note concerns about formula changes affecting clumping and dust levels, though these represent a small minority of feedback.

Questions
Does anyone know why this unscented version is twice as expensive as the Febreze version??
Has this product Fresh Step Simply Unscented 42 lb been discontinued? I can't find this product in this size anywhere. Neither in store or online.
- I contacted Fresh Step and was told it is still available but like you I have been unable to find it anywhere in stores or in line.

Does anyone know if this product works with the litter robot? I need more litter for the litter robot. I need to know if it will shift through. My cat seems to like the litter bot and spends his time on the second floor. Please and thank you.
- Yes, it does! We have the Litter Robot 3 and this is all we use. I set the timer for 7 minutes to allow it to clump harder when it cycles. I have three cats and I have no odors at all with this litter and it doesn’t crumble when it cycles.

Did simply ultra simply unscented replace ultra unscented ?
- Yes, as far as I can tell. It works the same for me.

Did the ultra unscented get discontinued? Is it only simply unscented now? The keep sending me this instead of what I ordered. It doesn’t work as well.
- Thank you for asking a great question, Bogi. We have decided the change the name of our Ultra Unscented litter to Simply Unscented. The formulas are essentially the same, and we know your kitty will still love it. While we hope this was helpful, please give us a buzz at 800-325-9259 if you need additional assistance. Make sure to mention reference number 201201-000872. Meow for now. London from The Fresh Step Team

Ultra or simply? The item title says Ultra Unscented. The photo and description say Simply Unscented. Which is it?
- I have this on auto delivery and I've always received ultra unscented. (I order the 42 lb one)

Is this a fine or course litter? My cats prefer litter that has a sandy texture. Thanks!
- I'd say medium sandy....not fine and not coarse

May I use a coupon if I order online?
- I think I had to call to use coupon-but it was no problem once I got customer service--

How often do you have to empty and clean a litter box using this litter? I am currently using a natural grass litter which doesn't break down, so I rarely have to completely clean the box.
- I scoop twice daily and add litter every week it so, as needed. I have 2 boxes for 2 cats. I only do a complete replacement and box scrubbing 2 or 3 times a year. There is no box odor (even with one stinky cat). My friend said my house smells "neutral," which is good enough with two cats!

How does this litter compare to the "simply unscented" Fresh Step litter when it comes to low tracking? I know it says low dust, but I hope it's as low tracking as the other Fresh Step. Thank you
- It tracks a little bit less than others and the dust is lower, but there is still both.
