I broke the handle that primes the cannister. Can i purchase this separately?
- Yes, the primer handle for the Fluval 407 canister filter is sold separately as a replacement part. It is officially called the "Self Primer Assembly" and is compatible with the entire Fluval 07 series of filters (107, 207, 307, and 407). You can purchase the replacement primer assembly from: Official Fluval Website: For direct purchase from the manufacturer. are the 407 and 207 hoses the same size ?
I have had a Fluval 407 running for several years, and now the two pieces of flexible synthetic tubing connecting the water suction piece to the siphon tubing and the outflow cannister nozzle are deteriorating. Can I buy replacement tubing pieces?
I would like to know all the media that is compatible with this filter and would like to know anything else that recommended its for my peninsula Cooter turtle she is about maybe 8 inches long & loves to swim, I have a 60 gallon tank
how do i prime 407 filter
- There is a little lever that is there for you to use it to pump the water. It’s very easy to use and does not require a lot of elbow grease to do so.

i have a 125g with platy will it work?
- Workd Great on a 100g, so I don't see why it shouldn't on a 125g. Very quiet and easy to maintain.

Would this filter be strong enough for a 75 gallon discus tank?
- I use it on a 90 gal saltwater. Im sure it would work. Just keep in mind that you would also probably need some type of aerator or bubbler..

I have a 40 gallon tank with one turtle, with this be sufficient to keep the water clean ?
- It will, though keep in mind you will need to clean it often. I would recommend spending a few more Andrew Jackson’s on the FX4
