Awesome tank
Got this tank for my birthday back in January, and it works perfectly. Assembly is relatively easy and heater is sufficient.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Very pretty, filter way too strong for a betta
Purchased 1/31/26. The design is very sleek and looks very nice with black stratum, driftwood, rocks, and plants. Love the compact size. Heater is holding steady at 79 degrees. My shrimps are doing SO well, they are loving it!
It only holds 5 gallons, not the 6 as advertised. The filters are housed internally and take away from swimmable space.
My HUGE issue is with the filter! As advertised for a betta tank, the flow is way to strong. It sucked by betta right up against the intake! It is on the lowest setting, and is facing the glass. I HAVE to modify because it is stressing him AND me out. Or, I need to purchase a different filter, which is where I'm leaning at this point.
I would recommend as is for shrimp or nano fish that can handle the high flow.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Hi Alisha. We're glad the Fluval 20L Betta Aquarium Kit provided a stylish design and stable environment for your shrimp. We understand your note about filter strength and tank capacity. If you'd like more help, please contact us through petco.com/contact-us.
Great looking, quiet, but heater is suspect.
Great looking tank with a quiet filter/pump (silicone sleeve for the pump is a great touch); adjustable flow on the pump is also nice; currently have it on the lowest setting and seems fine; only issue is the heater would let the temperature drop below 76 F, so I have replaced it with another heater.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I’ve had this aquarium for about 4 months. I really like this aquarium. Nice gentle flow. The supplied heater is questionable ran very warm for the first few weeks but seems to have settled down. The only thing I don’t like about it is the lid seems cheap and is kinda fumbly to open for feeding would love to see a glass lid option for this aquarium
Yes, I recommend this product.

Quality Tank
I have several Fluval tanks ranging in size from 2.6 to 33.2 galloms. I love them all. This tank is so clean and well appointed, it is one of my favorites. I really like the square design. I think I prefer it over the flex tanks. I may eventually change out the heater. I am a big fan of the eheim heaters.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions
1 - 4 of 4 Questions
does the 6 gallon tank use the same filter system as the 2.6 gallon, I'm planning on upgrading my Betta tank, and I currently have the Fluval 2.6 gallon tank?
- Hi! The 6 Gallon Betta tank uses a similar built-in, multi-stage filtration system to the 2.6 Gallon Betta kit, including a gentle flow designed for Bettas. Both use the same foam filter block, BIOMAX media, and diffusion chamber pad. The main difference is that the 6-gallon uses a Poly-Carb cartridge instead of the carbon insert included with the 2.6-gallon. It also features a built-in water-change valve to make routine maintenance easier!

Is the lighting strong enough for me to add plants or will I have to upgrade the lighting? If I have to upgrade what light would you suggest? I’ve never grown plants in an aquarium.
- Do not buy bad heater noise of pump weak light

What are the dimensions of the 6 gallon tank? Dies it come with a heater? Is there a lid and light
- The size is 12 inches height by 12 inch wide and 12 inches depth. Yes it comes with a heater. There is a lid and a light. Now so you know I having problem with the heater going too high as 83 deg not 78 deg. And working with Fluval to fix the problem.

Does the lighting support plant growth?
- Yes it does. The only issue with this tank is that no one has the middle filter replacement.
