Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this detangler for transforming severe tangles into smooth, silky hair with minimal effort, with results lasting days or weeks. Reviewers note it combs through thick, knotted manes and tails in seconds, reducing breakage and hair loss during grooming. Many highlight dramatic improvements in shine and conditioning, with enhanced luster visible on all coat colors. The product is especially valued for not freezing in cold barns and remaining effective year-round. Most find it highly economical, with a little going a long way. A few mention the thick consistency requires extra effort to distribute, and some prefer alternative brands, but overall customers consider it a game-changer for grooming efficiency.

I originally bought this because my mare had horrible wind knots in her mane one summer, but it has now become a staple in my everyday grooming kit. This detangler has a pleasant, sweet medicinal scent that is not overpowering. It effortlessly tames even the craziest knots working for all equine hair types. It also leaves my horses' manes and tails soft without a super slippery residue. I do not have heat in my barn so I bring my horse products inside for the winter, but this detangler does not freeze so I can keep it in my barn year round. A little of this detangler goes a long way so it is also cost effective.

I live in Colorado at altitude. We have a much extended snowy season with freezing nighttime temps. I can keep this at the barn and it does not freeze. I use it all winter to keep mane and tail breakage to a minimum. It keeps his tail smelling sweet all year long and does not attract dust. Used with a bit of water and it hydrates as well.

I love Vetrolin Shampoo, but I hated the Detangler. It left my horse’s tail dry and impossible to comb or brush out. Before tossing the bottle, I decided to use it differently than the instructions. I shampooed the tail, rinsed, worked the Detangler through the hair, left it in while shampooing the horse, then rinsed everything. It has been a week and even the fluffy shavings easily comb right out of his tail. It’s soft, thick and full. Now I love it.

I bought the vetrolin detangler and shine about a month ago to give it a try I really like it. It leaves their tails soft for days after putting it in. I was really impressed after using of products I usually have to put it in each time I want to brush their tails.

This product is wonderful, I used it when my horse was showing, and use it now that he is retired still! I shared with others at the bar and I was at and they now use it as well!
