Would Not Recommend for Smaller Dogs
My dog is on the cusp on XS and Small. I went for the Small thinking she might need room to grow (she's a 20 lb Cocker Spaniel, only 1.5 yrs old). The Small is very bulky on her, and also difficult to adjust. This harness is all strong velcro and adjusting the chest size even slightly requires starting all over from the beginning and guessing where to place the front chest D ring. It's frustrating to say the least. I loosened the chest too much after having it too tight, and my dog slipped out while pulling back. Thankfully she just bolted home, not elsewhere, and there happened to be no traffic. I do think this harness design would work well for larger dogs.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions
1 - 5 of 5 Questions
is the buckle/fastener for the chest strap the same size regardless of size ordered or is it smaller on the smaller harnesses?
- Hi! Thank you for your question. The straps for xxs and xs has a narrower webbing and has a smaller buckle.

my cockapoo yorkie mix. his measurement is 52cm . Not sure if i should get xs or s? can you assist?
- Hi! Thank you for your question. If the 52 cm measurement is your dog's chest measurement, we recommend the XS harness, as it is designed to fit chest sizes from 45–53 cm according to our size guide. Since your pup is close to the upper end of the XS range, we recommend measuring around the widest part of the chest to ensure the best fit. If you have any other questions, we're always happy to help!

Is this harness "no-pull" as is? Or is the separate "front d-ring attachment needed to make it "no-pull"?
- Hi! Thank you for your question. The harness comes standard with a heavy-duty back D-ring for everyday walks. The front D-ring attachment is an optional add-on that is sold separately and is not included with the base harness. If you prefer to use a front-clip attachment, the modular front D-ring can be purchased separately. If you have any other questions, we're always happy to help!

Does this have a Velcro patch on the side?
- Hi there! Thanks for your question. The harness does come with our standard Dog Friendly Co. branded velcro patch on both sides. We don't currently offer our customizable name patches through Petco, but they can be purchased separately on our website and added on from there. Hope that helps!
