Cerenia is given orally. For motion sickness, this medication can be given once a day for up to two days in a row. Dogs should not be fed 1 hour prior to giving Cerenia. Give Cerenia 2 hours prior to travel. Do not wrap the tablets tightly in fatty food such as cheese or meat, since this may keep the tablets from dissolving and delay the effect of Cerenia. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian. This medication should only be given to the pet for whom it was prescribed.

What mg should I get for a 6 lb yorkipoo
- I use the 16ml Cerenia pill (small, flat, oval shaped with 'split' line at the center - easy to break in two with your fingers) for one of my cats who has motion sickness. Dosage is 1/2 of the pill per day (24 hours) as required, given at least 2-to-3 hours before travel or for tummy upsets.
