Description

The Catit PIXI Fountain provides your cat with a continuous source of fresh, purified water. The PIXI offers multiple drinking options to entice picky drinkers: calm flow, stream (with spout) and bubbling top. The featured drip collection zone helps stray drops of water to flow back into the reservoir. PIXI's little nose is a backlit water level window and with a water level window this adorable, you'll never lose sight of how much water is left. Fill the reservoir until the water level reaches the top of the whiskers, which marks the reservoir's maximum capacity. The pump is equipped with a sensor that detects when the water level is too low. At that point, the fountain will shut down automatically, to prevent the pump from running dry. PIXI's nose will also flash red when the water level inside of the reservoir is too low. Once the water reservoir is refilled, the fountain will start running again.

DO NOT BUY!! This product is horrible. We have been taking the whole thing apart and cleaning ours weekly and it doesn’t matter how much you clean it, within a day or two the water is murky, has weird goo in the reservoir, and the plastic gets slimy. The filters don’t work as advertised, and they definitely don’t work for as long as they say they are supposed to. We’ve gone through 4 filters in 2 months because of how gross they get. Don’t waste your money. Still water is fresher and cleaner than any water from this fountain.

I bought this less than a year ago and my husband has replaced the pump TWICE! Don’t buy. Not worth the price or time spent trying to repair.

Bought this roughly 2 weeks ago and followed all instructions without issue, I opened it up to check it this morning and found it filled with dirt and the walls had mold and algae on them. The pump mechanism was also filled with a black goo I can only assume is more mold.

Difficult to keep clean. Use pipe cleaners and a toothbrush to access sharp internal corners.

Biggest piece of crap I’ve ever bought. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It had 0 stability so I come home to the entire water fountain tipped over and spilled all over the floor and it also gets clogged with cat hair and won’t flow even though it’s full. Worst cat water fountain I’ve ever had.

For reference I’ve had this fountain maybe 8 months and have 1 cat. It functioned as expected. Never broke/had to replace any parts. It’s the first fountain I’ve tried that my cat hasn’t been able to knock over and spill water all over the floor. However it has many downsides. It’s pretty annoying to disassemble and reassemble. It needs to be cleaned AT LEAST 2-3 times a week due to how fast it gets gross and slimey. I have found mold growing inside of the pump and also in the spout on many occasions despite cleaning it constantly. I also noticed my cat getting chin acne, and along with the constant mold growth, didn’t feel good about using this product anymore. Ended up throwing it away. I wouldn’t waste your time or money on this. I would recommend a stainless steel fountain.

Have to clean at least once a week otherwise green algae grows and orange gunk.. we give them our filtered Brita water and it still gets gross. parts are hard to clean thoroughly. I soak the parts in vinegar solution. Cat + dog love it when it’s clean. Filters get slimy b4 their lifespan but I think it’s bcuz our dog likes to use the fountain too 😅Pump has not failed on ours and we’ve had it at least 6 months. I would rather get the stainless steel kind it just seems more sanitary. Worried my animals might get sick :(
