First time use: Gradually transition over 5-7 days. Start with 1/4 new litter mixed with old litter, gradually increase new litter, while decreasing old litter. Keep the litter box in its usual spot - clean it regularly. If your cat is hesitant, slow the change. Ongoing use: 1. Start with clean, dry litter box. 2. If you're able to clean the litter regularly throughout the day, then pour 5-6 metric cups of litter at one end of the box. If you're unable to clean the litter throughout the day, or you have a multi-cat household, then pour in 2-3 inches of litter to fill the box. Spread evenly. 3. Scoop out clumps & solids daily. 4. Litter can be thrown in trash or buried in garden (only non-edible plants). It may also be disposed of in small quantities via the toilet in accordance with local regulations. 5. Clean the spot where the clump was with CAT by Dr Lisa Wee Cleaner to eliminate residual odours on the litter box surface - dry that area before allowing litter to cover it.
