Veterinarian authorized products ship only after Petco receives an authorization from your vet. We will not need to reach out to your vet or you if the authorization includes refills. When all available refills are used or the authorization expires, we will reach out to your vet to obtain a new authorization. For new authorizations, we will attempt to reach your vet for a total of 5 days. If your vet does not respond within 5 days, we will then reach out to you for a total of 3 days. If no response is given, the order will then be canceled.

ref blue buffalo KM for cats-is it possible to purchase maybe a few cans or samples to check if the cat will eat it? Then if he'll eat it I could order more
- The vet who prescribed this food for my cat gave me a few free samples to see if she would eat it. I will tell you that it's been very difficult getting this food since lockdown. I have a standing order that ships every three months, and they cancelled the April order scheduled with no follow up to a call I made (and waited on hold for an hour just to speak to a rep). Nor did they give me an estimate for when it would be back in stock. I would go somewhere else to buy this if you decide to buy it, if you can find more responsive customer service.
