Josh's Frogs Carry-Out Isopod Cup (Asst sp.), Count of 5

Josh's Frogs Carry-Out Isopod Cup (Asst sp.), Count of 5 removed from the wishlist

DETAILS

Description

Isopods are small, terrestrial crustaceans (also called rolly-polies or pillbugs) that thrive in the same conditions as many exotic pets, making them fun additions to a bioactive tank. Functional as well, they will eat dead leaves, pet waste and shed, and dead feeder insects. Preferring to stay in the soil, they are low risk for escaping and surviving in a home.

- Assorted isopod cup containing one species of the following species: Porcellio Scaber, Porcellio Laevis, Cylisticus Convexus, Cubaris Murina, or Porcellionides pruinosus
- Great clean up crew for bioactive enclosures - Isopods break down waste, keeping your tank clean
- Grow a food source for your animals in your tank! Many pets, such as dart frogs, will snack on isopods
- 5-10 isopods in each cup!
- Seeds up to one 10 gallon or 12x12 size tank or smaller. Can also be kept alone as pets in small containers with wood pieces. They are very active when fed!
- Available for in-store pickup or same day delivery only. See our other isopod listings for overnight shipping options!

DIRECTIONS

Some prey-driven pets can overhunt isopods when they are first added. For best results, let your colony grown for a month before introducing an animal. Add all of the soil to your tank along with the isopods. Keep between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit and maintain humidity levels between 60-80%.

WARNINGS

Supplement food as starving isopods may attempt to eat the carapace of freshly molted invertebrates or even gnaw on delicate reptiles/amphibians.

Bought a 5ct of powder oranges that had signs of humidity in the container thinking it might mean they would be alive. Opened the container within an hour and all five are long dead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought the small 5 count of powder blues at petco but there ended up being straight substrate in the container. Zero isopods. Very disappointing.

Bought today (7/29/26) along with some of Josh's Frogs spingtails. There were TWO springtails in the cup, and not a SINGLE isopod in the cup. Not even dead or alive. Nothing. Should've looked it up before buying. Hesitant to even try again as I already spent $163 in a single trip in preparation for my frog. Will be buying from TC insect from now on

No, I do not recommend this product.

Today was my nephews 7th birthday and we bought him the 5 counts party mix isopods and the isopods habitat because he obsessed with them. We got home, had his little party and when opening the packaging and searching through the soil there was only 1 orange isopod in the cup. Please be sure try to check and make sure you have more then one.

No, I do not recommend this product.
