Questions
Can these be used with snails? Mystery & nerite, specifically. Are they an algaecide or just a filter to remove organics?
- These pads help prohibitate algae growth. My snails do just fine, a bit too fine =)

Can these be used at the same time with the amonia reducer specialty pad?
- I use them both at the same time.

Do you have to remove this during treatment of your tank along with an activated carbon filter?
- You do not have to, no. But since these do actively and slowly remove medicine, they will slowly extract the medication from the water. Many aquarists continue to use the carbon with the medicine to prevent overdosing.

Can this be used in a planted tank?
- I have 2 live plants in my 20 gal tank and have been using this product for 4 years with no problem

I’m confused. Just bought a 10 gallon Aquen tank kit. Do you use these in place of regular filters or are these in addition to regular filters. The filter in my tank says QuietFlow 10 LED Pro filter
