Description

Create an environment for you and your fish to enjoy! This slim, low-profile light is fully customizable with the free Aqueon BlueIQ App by connecting using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You will have full control of the white, blue and color LEDs separately and light intensity can adjust in 1% increments with a simple slider bar, making it quick and easy to match any mood. Use the optimal, 24-hour default schedule which includes sunrise, day, sunset and night or create your own schedule using provided or customized presets so you can enjoy at any particular day or time. Add weather effects to your environment including cloud coverage and lightning. Cloud mode dims and brightens as if clouds are moving past slowly or moving quickly on a windy day depending what intensity you prefer. Lightning mode randomly dims all the lighting and then flashes white to give the impression of a lightning storm. The intensity you choose will affect the number of random flashes that take place.

DO NOT BUY THIS EXPENSIVE LIGHT. PURCHASED AT PETCO FOR IN DECEMBER 2025 FOR $225. AFTER JUST 90 DAYS IT TOTALLY MALFUNCTIONS. TURNS OFF UNEXPECTEDLY, AFTER JUST FEW HOURS. AND STARTING TODAY 04/06/2026 STOPPED WORKING AT ALL... CANNOT RETURN DUE TO 90 DAYS WARRANTY WINDOW. CALLED AQUEON AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, DOESN'T REALLY HELP RESOLVE, GIVING ME THE RUN- A- ROUND. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY. I WANTER TO UPLOAD IMAGES, BUT OPTION IS NOT LET ME, TO DO SO.

I gave this a shot and quickly learned there are NO manual controls. No remote either. You have to do it through the app that hardly connects when it wants to.

I've had the light for a few months. The scheduling is not intuitive and very difficult to get it to work. I also recently had a power outage for 2 minutes at our house and cannot reconnect to the light again, even after factory reset. It is maddening how much I spent for this light and how hard it is just to turn the light on.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I was able to connect to the light through the app. The light works but I can't get the pre-set schedule to work yet after a day of troubleshooting. The light does not follow the schedule to turn on/off at the right times and the app if not very intuitive. It's disappointing because this is the feature that made me want to buy this light and I am getting by with manually turning on/off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great Light. It is bright enough to see the details of the aquarium without being unnatural. I run the light 20 hours a day so being LED I don’t worry about the energy consumption.

What I like best about the lights are that they are smart. Allowing you to customize the lights depending on the day or just allowing the lights to do there own thing depending on the time of day. Last but not least it has all types of reminders to make sure your fish are fine.

IThis Aqueon Smart Fish Light has a lot of cool features! You can control brightness, color, and even add weather effects (both clouds and lightning). Everything can be turned on and adjusted from the Acqueon app, and you can also schedule when the light turns on and off. What I don’t like about this item is that they’re isn’t a button to manually turn it on or off. Even though you’re supposed to use the scheduling function on the app, it just seems like an huge oversight to not include it for convenience sake. Installation and adjusting the size was extremely simple though!

I like the variety of settings, including the settings that look like clouds passing and lightning. The light is bright. My only uncertainty would be how often the bulb needs replaced, but I expect it to last a long time. It seems energy efficient as well.
