I use this all the time to help the filter the ammonia out of the tank. It helps keep the tank balanced and healthy for the fish. I’ve had the same fish for almost 6 years, so it seems to be working. I’ve also used the phosphate remover for this filter as well. This fits into the Aqueon 30/50 perfectly. It’s easy to use and works effectively

great product, cleans water almost instantly. Fish really perked up. Better to use these filters than to use chemicals in tank. Do a monthly vacuum and pop in clean filters. Sparkling water results.

I was told that I didn't need this extra bit for my filter even though it comes with the system when you first buy it. I am here to say buy this for your aqueon filter the little extra amonia I had in my tank was gone the first good cycle.

Keeping the ammonia low is easier with this "plug and play" product. I call it "plug and play" because you just insert in the filter slots, and you get to play...seriously helps keep the ammonia low which reduces the number of water changes.
