My ferret was anesetised for a xray.he came back to conscienceness OK but then collapsed. Was he given too much anesetic or was it a cheap one that didn't have the normal quality?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Anesthetic recovery can be a little bit tough for ferrets. Butch may have been unsteady or groggy, causing him to collapse shortly after the procedure. His blood sugar may have also been low. Butch should have recovered completely within several hours, if he has not, he may need some supportive care such as fluids. Anesthetics are pretty tightly regulated, as most of these products are used in humans as well, so it is very unlikely that there was something wrong with the quality of anesthetic used. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you may have!
