Do bunnies need daily deworming? What dewormer is recommended?

I recommend you take Smokey to a vet so you can be sure you are deworming for the correct type of worms and that you are giving the correct medication/dose. To answer your questions specifically, there is a dewormer called piperazine that will get rid of pinworms. I do not know if it is available over the counter in the UK (it is in the US). You must deworm your rabbit once weekly for three weeks to eliminate both the mature and immature worms. Hope this answers your question. If not, please feel free to post again.

It is prescribed to be given once daily for that time frame (9 consecutive days) as to ensure the medication works appropriately. Just start again when you return and do 8 consecutive days. All I can tell you is what we use here in the U.S. and you can try to find it there. I would use Fenbendazole - it goes by many different brand names. You need to get the product and follow dosing instructions on the container. Dosage depends on the concentration and again, I don't know what concentration you have available there. I would give Muezza Panacur. It's a three day course of treatment, and she will need another course of treatment two weeks after the first ends. After that, she should be dewormed monthly until she is six months of age, and then she should be dewormed every three months. The amount to give her is based on her weight, and the instructions on the bottle of Panacur will tell you how much to give her. I hope this helps!

Parasitic worms, coccidia, giardia & others are parasites that can cause diarrhea, weight loss, bleeding & other problems inside the body, primarily in the intestines. Treatment depends on what you have. The easiest way to approach this is to take Bun Bun to your vet for a thorough exam of the outside for skin parasites, & then a stool check to see what parasites may be present in the intestines. It looks as though this product is 2% w/v, which translates to 20mg moxidectin per ml. Based on that information, Moyel would receive 0.029ml according to your vet's directions. The Quest gel is labeled for exclusive use in horses and clearly states that it should not be used in other species. As a result, I would inquire further with your vet as to their planned course of treatment. Even if they feel comfortable prescribing this medication in an off-label fashion (which is commonly done!), the volume of medication appropriate for Moyel is so minuscule that it's next to impossible to achieve accurate dosing. I would instead ask if they have recommendations for topical treatments of moxidectin or selamectin if they're more comfortable using those medications rather than injectable ivermectin.
