It's true, the possible side effects are very scary. But this is true of most antifungals and unfortunately they are the only treatment for aspergillosis. The appropriate dose should be determined by your veterinarian who is familiar with Marley's medical history. It could take weeks or even months for the antifungal to start working, depending on the severity of the current infection. If he is really struggling, I would urge you to call your vet to see if additional medications or hospitalization for oxygen therapy is indicated.

I would recommend consulting with them on the proper dosing schedule and length of treatment as this really does depend on the diagnosis made by your vet.

Fungal infections are pretty tough to manage. If it seems to be lingering, the best way to get rid of it is to get everyone on an oral medication prescribed by your vet. With this many pets, this can get pricey, so ask your vet for an alternative medication that you can purchase from your local pharmacy (i.e. Terbinafine). I would still continue with a topical ointment as well for the most effective treatment of this fungal infection. Also its best to shave around the affected areas, since the fungal spores like to hang out in the haircoat and spread further this way. First of all you will need to get those medications from a vet as we are mainly talking about prescription medications. For ringworm Itraconazole is usually used, for infections i recommend taking Synolux which is the most widely used antibiotics in pets. i would also recommend taking worming tablets (Drontal) and flea treatment (advantage).

Miconazole and clotrimazole are the most common topical anti-fungal medications that we use for ringworm, but you will want to consult with your veterinarian before starting any treatment for ringworm to make sure that Pita Boo is confirmed to have ringworm, to make sure that he doesn't need oral medication as well and to make sure that the topical product is safe for cats.
