Why is my senior dachshund suddenly falling, confused, and biting?

I am sorry tootsie is having a hard time. My concern would be arthritis, possible back disease, neurological issues or infection. I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian for a good exam to check her back and back for pain. I would recommend limiting her excercise and not allowing her to jump until she is checked out. She could be suffering from a hip problem, i would recommend taking her to your vet to get her checked, possibly have an xray done, if she has a bad hips she needs pain killers/anti inflammatories at the very least .

Poor Milly! That is very concerning. I would recommend taking her in for an examination by a veterinarian. Falling can be a sign of cardiac disease or neurological disease. Sometimes it can be something like Old Dog Vestibular disease which causes severe neurological signs like circling, nystagmus (eyes bouncing back and forth) head tilt and falling over. This condition usually self resolves, but needs a veterinarian exam to differentiate from a more serious condition. Sometimes it can be a heart problem which is causing poor circulation which would require medications. A veterinarian will do an exam to localize the problem to a system and then blood work . I would not give her pain medications from her last visit, as they may not be appropriate to give in this case. I would have her seen by a vet immediately for a physical exam and x-rays.
