My vet says no food, only ice cream for puppy ulcer. Is this right?

Puppies do not normally have issues with indigestion or stomach acid issues. Much more common are bacterial infections, viral infections or parasites. The fact that your puppy has not eaten in 2 days means that it feels poorly. Puppies are this age are fragile and require earlier veterinary intervention. I recommend to have your puppy examined by a veterinarian today since it has not eaten in 2 days so that means low blood sugar and dehydration become more likely. You may try offering a bland diet but it may not help. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. If you think the sucralfate is making her feel sicker then you can chose to discontinue until you talk with your veterinarian tomorrow and discuss permanently discontinuing this medication. Royal Canin gastrointestinal diet is a good guality, bland, and easily digestible diet that he may benefit from long term. Often, follow up examinations and further testing (like fecal exams for parasites, endoscopy, or even biopsies) are needed to develop the best long term plan. I hope he continues to improve.

Snoopy has to see a vet immediately. This ulcer needs to be cleaned in a sterile manner, and may need be sutured to help it heal. Please do not give him any more of your daughter's penicillin. It's never safe or recommended to self treat your animal, and you could be giving him an incorrect dose that may do harm to him. This will be painful to him, and he likely needs pain medications to treat this. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. It looks like Decoy most likely has developed an ulcer. The type of ulcer he has is something more commonly seen in cats, but can be seen in dogs on occasion. The typical treatment for it is steroids and antibiotics, which will have to be acquired through a veterinarian. While at the vet, they will also be able to examine it to make sure it is not a growth or mass of some sort. This would be extremely unusual in such a young dog so I wouldn't worry too much about it. The ulcers can be somewhat resistant and take a while to get rid of, but in the end they are usually something perfectly treatable.
