My puppy's poop is soft, but she seems totally fine. Should I worry?

Hello. In the short term, such as a day or two after worming, the stool can become soft. Nothing to worry about as long as Luna is happy, playful & eating well. Soft stool has multiple causes. It may be gastrointestinal upset or inflammation, intestinal parasites or due to dietary indiscretions just to name a few. As long as Remy is acting normally, you don't necessarily need to take him to your veterinarian. You should submit a stool sample though to diagnose intestinal parasites. Try withholding food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until the stool is normal then transition slowly to his regular diet. If the soft stool does not resolve or if Remy develops lethargy, loss of appetite, abdominal pain or vomiting them have him examined by your veterinarian.

Congratulations on your new puppy she is adorable! I would not worry at all about the change in her poo, as long as she is still happy and well in herself. Some variation between bowel movements is normal. The intestines can also be affected by stress, which she may be experiencing some of with all the changes. If you notice that it continues to be loose you may consider adding some cooked, skinless sweet potato to her regular dog food.

If it ever becomes consistent diarrhea, have her evaluated by a veterinarian before her scheduled appointment. Keep in mind that it may be best to continue the formula until she is 6 weeks old. Typically that small amount of garlic would not hurt bells. It is possible she just has a mild upset stomach. I would recommend giving her a probiotic with boiled chicken and white rice for 12-24 hours. If her soft stool does not resolve I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian to make sure she does not have a virus,parasites or infectious disease

This is very concerning as it appears to contain blood, mucus and possibly bowel lining. I recommend an oral worm medication, a specialist intestinal or hydrolyzed diet for 6 weeks and a probiotic/fiber supplement such as fortiflora to rebalance the bowel and rule out any parasitic causes. A full health check, blood tests and possibly ultrasound/xray if not responding or any weight loss, vomiting or weakness is noted

Garlic may have an impacted anal sac which your veterinarian can easily diagnose and remedy by evacuation. I suggest you add some canned pumpkin to her food which will help with poop consistency. Schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam.
