Puppy had red testicles and a lump. Should I still be worried?

This is possibly due to an allergic reaction or it could even be an actual on going allergy to something like fleas, food or an allergen in the environment. Allergic reactions are usually treated with anti-histamine medications such as Benadryl and steroids. Cameron should be evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They could start therapy for this to see if it improves. In most cases it does improve and resolve and if no further exposures to the antigen occur, then this would not recur. I would not be immediately concerned but would continue to watch for any changes. This does just look like a small pimple or blocked oil gland but continue to monitor for any signs of infection such as heat, redness or pain which would indicate a sooner visit may be required.

Ouchie. Poor guy. This appears to be a solitary pustule or even an abscess on his skin, which is often caused by a foreign body that was introduced underneath the skin. This can be viral related so it’s best to take him back to your vet on tomorrow to have this area clean and drained. He will also likely be placed on antibiotics to see if this resolves. If there is no resolve with antibiotics then a biopsy likely will be recommended to determine the underlying cause and course of treatment; however this will likely resolve with antibiotics. Waiting until tomorrow or Tuesday to have this looked at is perfectly acceptable, as long as he is still eating, drinking and has normal energy level. I hope that Rowdy’s skin lesions resolves soon! Bright red is never good. Check for heat, pain as well. If the testicles are hot and painful as well as red then there is a likely chance that he has an infection or inflamed skin. You should schedule a vet appointment for Charlie Mac. He may need antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication.

Thank you for providing a picture of Bozwer's testicles! I can see why you are concerned. From the picture, these could be benign growths or it could be due to a skin infection from bacteria or yeast. Without seeing him in person, I couldn't say for certain. The best thing to do for him is have him seen by a vet this week. The vet can examine and diagnose what is causing these symptoms, and can prescribe treatment for them. Good luck, I hope this helps!

It's hard to know how serious is it at this point. Dogs can develop testicular cancer. I recommend you have Brownie examined by your veterinarian as soon as possible to help determine if biopsy or surgery are needed. Good luck !
