It might be a pustule or a sebaceous cyst. You could try over the counter Vetericyn plus spray and see if it resolves. Otherwise, schedule an appointment with your vet to determine the cause and treat.

I would wait until the puppy is fully examined by a vet. It is hard to say what the lump is at this stage. It could be local hair follicle infection and that will go away after a few days of treatment with ointment. However, it may be a small cyst that is rubbing the eye. In that case, the puppy will need a surgery to remove the lump, which could be tricky to do and also pricey.

Since your puppy is due for her rabies shot soon and she does not seem to have any problems arising from this bump, I think you can wait to show this to your vet until you go in for the rabies vaccination. However, if your puppy starts squinting, having a discharge from the eye, or generally appears bothered by this you should take her in to your vet before the vaccination date to have her eye and eye lid examined.

This appears to be an eyelid growth. It may have been there a while but as it’s enlarged it has become more visible. Luckily many eyelid growths are benign. I do recommend surgical removal and biopsy. This is causing eye irritation and the bigger it gets the more difficult it is to remove it. Poor Milo. Given that his eye is a bit puffy and there is some discharge, I don't think it's best to wait another day. Any eye problem should be checked out promptly by a vet. I'd take him into a vet today.

It could be that Lovey is suffering from an allergic reaction causing these swollen bumps around his body. It could be an environmental allergy causing these bumps, but without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. I am concerned he now has a swollen eye, as he could have injured his eye or have an eye infection. To answer your question, yes definitely take him into the vet today. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it is considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Bumps on eye-lids can be cysts, but they can also be other masses like tumors. For this reason getting it checked is recommended. In the mean-time, I would check for squinting, moving away from your hand when you go to pet him on that side of the face, redness/blueness/whiteness of the eye-ball itself that is different from the other eye, or scratching/pawing at the eye. If any of these are occuring, then I would take Marley to a vet. If he isn't too concerned about it, and isn't squinting or moving away from you, and is only minimally pawing at it, then I would recommend getting an E-collar (you can pick one up from any emergency clinic without an appointment as it is now late in Australia), to prevent ongoing trauma to the eye which can get much much worse with scratching. I would then get Marley to your vet in the morning. Best of luck with Marley.
