My puppy hit her head. Will she recover from circling and stumbling?

Please have Leilani seen by a vet right away. It sounds like she may be dealing with a neurologic problem, and she is likely suffering. It is difficult to give a prognosis without further diagnostics, as she could also be dealing with weakness from systemic diseases, low blood sugar, trauma, or toxin ingestion. Vomiting after an head trauma might be concerning. I recommend to bring her to the vet for a physical and neurological examinations to exclude brain damages (i.e. concussion). Please post again on the forum if you would like to discuss it further. I hope my answer was helpful.

It is difficult to know without an examination. If she is till acting abnormal then she should be examined and treated by a vet. Hopefully she is acting fine and has recovered. it would be a good idea to keep her off the couch so she can't injure herself again.

I am sorry to hear about your puppy. It is hard for me to tell if damage could have been done because we don't know exactly what was done to the puppy. Spinning is unlikely to cause lasting damage but a blow to the head could. I would watch your puppy to be sure he is able to walk without stumbling/has normal balance, that he is eating normally, and that his pupils are equal in size and not moving abnormally (nystagmus is an abnormality where the pupils will repeatedly dart in the same direction). If you notice any of these signs, then a vet exam is recommended. I would strongly advise keeping your puppy away from your nephew.

Poor Stella! I would be concerned you may have stepped on her head or neck given the symptoms you have described. I do think she needs to be seen by a vet for a physical exam and x-rays to be safe, but if she is resting and not showing the same symptoms you described, it can wait until the morning. If she wakes up and shows those same symptoms again, appears very painful, has difficulty walking, her eyes appear bloodshot, and/or she starts bleeding from the nose or mouth, take her into an ER vet immediately. Brain trauma is quite serious and the prognosis (chance of survival) of your pet can only be evaluated and determined by the vet who physically examined him unfortunately.
