Why does my puppy have dry blood near her genitals and hair in poop?

It sounds as Sugar is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Blood in the poop can be caused by intestinal worms, a stomach illness, sudden change in diet, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or a severe illness like parvo. Because poop in the poop can have some very serious causes and it's been going on for a few days, it's time to see the vet. The vet can diagnose what is causing it and can treat her. Poor Luna! I can definitely understand being worried - it's always scary to see blood or other abnormalities in your dog's stool. The good news is, if she is eating and drinking normally, active, and not vomiting, it's extremely unlikely that she would have parvo or any other serious illness - puppies with parvo are usually very lethargic, not eating, and vomiting frequently. So it doesn't sound like this is likely to be an issue with Luna :) There are lots of things that could cause a milky substance like this with some traces of blood. Colitis, or irritation in the large intestine, can sometimes cause mucus with streaks or flecks of blood to be seen in the stool. This could also occur due to eating something she shouldn't have, or with a minor intestinal infection of some kind. She could also potentially have an infection in her anal glands, which are two scent glands located on either side of the rectum. If she is acting normal apart from this, it's not likely to be an emergency - but if the problem continues, it would be best to call your regular vet or take Luna in for a recheck exam to make sure that everything is okay.

It could be Sycamore has intestinal worms, may have eaten something rotten, has a problem with her anal sacs, or has a GI illness causing the blood in her poop. I'd take her into a vet now to get checked out. Best of luck.

Hi there. Poor Ruby! It definitely sounds like she's teething-puppies go through this stage of putting everything in their mouths the same as humans. Since Ruby is not 4 months or more yet, she is still not considered fully vaccinated. If her vaccines were home vaccines and are from a store over the counter-sometimes they are improperly stored and provide poor immunity. Any time there is blood in the stool it warrants a trip to your veterinarian right away, as your puppy can be very sick when showing this symptom. A little bit of blood in the stool is probably an indication of intestinal parasites, something very commonly seen in puppies. The pustules are probably just a bit of a staph infection. I would definitely take Maci to see her veterinarian to examine the stool for parasites. At that time, she may be placed on an antibiotic or a medicated shampoo for the pustules. But I would not worry too much, just have Maci examined at your earliest convenience. Take care.

Harleigh could have worms even though you don't see any in her feces, and that would cause blood in her feces. I would take her into the vet with a sample of her feces. The vet can examine her feces under a microscope for signs of eggs from intestinal parasites, and can prescribe her a deworming treatment.
