Puppy disoriented, lethargic, peeing, swollen vulva: What to do?

Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds as if Charlie is dealing with a severe respiratory disease / infection. I would strongly recommend getting Charlie in to the emergency veterinarian as soon as possible as this could potentially become fatal if not appropriately treated. The sooner he is seen the better. You can try and place him in the bathroom with the hot shower running so that he is breathing in steam and using a humidifier in the meantime while you are waiting to get to an emergency vet. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! From what you are describing, there are 3 main possibilities. First, Charlie may be pregnant and about to have the pups. Second, she could be having pseudopregnancy, a condition where her body produces hormones as if she were pregnant though she has not conceived. Third, she could be having a condition called pyometra which is an infection within the utetus. There are other things that could be happening, but these three are by far the most likely. As pyometra is a very serious condition and can be life-threatening, I would recommend having Charlie examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible, preferably tonight by an emergency veterinarian. If you cannot get to an emergency vet tonight, go see your regular vet first thing in the morning. I hope this helps and that Charlie doesn't have anything too serious going on!

All these signs are very concerning and point to a possible viral infection or metabolic disease. You need to take your dog to a veterinarian or PetER right away as he may be having a serious infection that needs to be tended to. Distemper comes to mind, a liver shunt and/or meningitis.

She is a large breed growing puppy so they often go through spurts of sleepiness where they may not eat as much of their food. With that said, this should then be followed by a spurt of activeness and engorging in her food, within a 24 hr period. If she is lethargic and not eating well for more than a day, then she may have an infection and should be checked out by your vet asap. Pets also don't often pee on themselves, even at this age. This concerns me for a possible urinary tract infection, which causes her to have an inflamed bladder, which then causes her to not be able to pee in a designated area. At almost 3 months of age though, she may still be potty training. At any rate, it is best to get her seen with such vague symptoms, just to make sure she doesn't have an infection and to get her treated right away if there is one present. I would recommend that you have Charlie examined by a vet. The symptoms you have described can be cause by idiopathic vestibular syndrome ( http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=564 ), but this is usually seen in older dogs. Other causes could be a middle ear infection, an issue in the brain, or less commonly a stroke. It is possible that he is not reacting to the sudden changes in temperature, and I may be inclined to think this was the cause if he is much better in a couple hours.

From the clinical signs you are describing I would b considered mostly with pain in the lower abdomen. This combined with loss of control go urinary function could indicate an infection or inflammation of the bladder. I would advise a trip to the vet for a urineanalysis to diagnose.
