My 6-week puppy has a bloated tummy and is vomiting. Is it serious?

Updated on September 23, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 16 days old | 6 lbs

My 6 week old puppy's tummy is super round and he's been puking all day. We fed him this morning and he may have eaten way to much and we have been in the car so he could have car sickness ... I'm scared because he hasn't had his second parvo shot yet but he has his core shots and his first dose of dewormer (will have more in 2 weeks) but he's a little constipated and his pee looks strange ... please help me ... he's my baby

Hello there, I posted an answer to your previous question so please have a read of it. I'm concerned now that you mention the tummy being bloated, this could be quite serious so please take him to be examined by the vet.

This is very concerning and should be checked by your vet as soon as possible. Worms, intestinal, liver and heart disease could all be causing bloating and can become very serious if nit detected and managed early
