Why is my pit bull gassy with very little bowel movement?

This could be due to a number of things, most like;y him eating something that disagreed with him, something too rich that he isn't used to eating. If you changed his dog food recently or introduced wet food to his diet this could be what started it. Other possibilities include parasites, food allergies, or bacterial infection. Try feeding him a bland diet for a few days, plain cooked white rice mixed with an equal part of plain boiled chicken breast, unseasoned, or plain hamburger, cooked and the fat rinsed off. If the symptoms persist or get worse, including developing new symptoms like diarrhea, lethargy and loss of appetite, get him seen by your vet as soon as possible for an exam and fecal analysis.

If negative, I would recommend changing her diet to something less rich. In the US, I recommend Science Diet or Purina One Smartblend. It is not uncommon for dogs to get bouts of gastroenteritis where they self soothe by eating grass. It could be as simple as this. However, if she appears to be dull or starts being sick or not eating then I would get her checked by a vet just in case it is more serious. The wound should also be checked to ensure its not infected.

Oh no. Poor guy. Loss of appetite and decreased mobility can indicate that he is painful or has an infection of some sort. I would highly recommend taking Bentley in to your local vet for some bloodwork analysis to check his organ function as well as a thorough exam to try and pinpoint what the underlying problem is exactly so that we best know how to treat him. It sounds like she is strained to defecate, likely due to loose stools. Has she been vaccinated? Has she been dewormed or had a negative fecal exam for parasites? If she was eating I wouldn’t be as concerned, but with the poor appetite I am very concerned. Parvovirus or intestinal parasites are high on my list of concerns. Please have her seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.

Without seeing Diesel it is hard to say. I would first make sure he is intestinal parasite free. There a several different parasites and there is not one deworming medicine that treats them all. I recommend bringing a stool sample to your vet to look at under the microscope. Otherwise the issues could be coming from his food. Poor Lightening. He could have parvo, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, may have eaten something rotten or toxic, or could have a foreign body. His symptoms are a medical emergency, and cannot be treated at home. Please take him into a vet immediately.
