What's the shelf life of mixed Domeboro for my dog's skin condition?

Lime sulphur dip can be stored at room temperature. The concern with long term storage is that the lime sulphur may precipitate out. This could affect efficacy. You can tell this happened if you see excess crust around the opening or solid matter in the container. If you want specifics on how long the dip lasts, I suggest contacting the manufacturer. They usually list an 800 number or website on the bottle.

The key to using the medicated shampoo is contact time. After lathering, the shampoo needs 10-15 minutes of contact time with the skin/coat before rinsing. The Dechra brand is fine. When there is an active skin issue bathing should be twice a week with using the spray or mousse in between. Once looking better, you can decrease frequency of the products.

I would recommend either applying directly to the dog or your hands first. Most medicated shampoos I would recommend leaving on for 10 minutes and than washing off. They often do not lather like people shampoo does. Also I would recommend towel drying because heat from a hair dryer can deactivate the medications.

All of the brands you listed are good shampoos. Duoxo is one of my go to shampoos but many are equivalent. A chlorhexadine/ketoconazole shampoo helps treat yeast and bacteria. The main thing is to lather Sibyl up and allow the lather to soak for 20 minutes or so before rinsing. If needed you can bathe every 2-3 days. I also recommend an oral omega 3 supplement such as Derm Caps. Remember if you use topical flea or heart worm prevention the medicated shampoos will strip it out. If you bought it over the counter (OTC), no prescription is needed. Directions for use should be on the container. Do not bathe more often than directed since this may make the itching worse and can dry out the skin. Try to determine the underlying cause of the itch. This may require a visit and exam with your veterinarian. Causes may include skin infection, external parasites, allergies or food sensitivities.

I would not recommend using this medication on your dog. This medicine contains very unusual combination of active ingredients (antibiotic, anti-fungal agent, steroid and an agent against skin parasites). Giving steroids in fungal infections and parasites infestation is contraindicated but in this medicine they have been combined. It sounds that the tablets are for ' all possible skin problems' but by using it, for example in case of a mange or ringworm it could make things worse.
