How can I share a photo of my dog's yellow liquid vomit with a vet?

I hate to hear that Bruno is sick. While infection is possible, other causes such as an intestinal blockage or pancreatitis (to name a few) could also cause the vomiting. When pets don't respond to treatment as expected, it can mean that the real cause of the illness has not been identified. I recommend to call your veterinarian and tell them what is happening. They may want to examine Bruno again, try a different medication or pursue other diagnostics. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

This is not specific to any disease, but indicates that something is either directly upsetting their stomachs, or generally making them feel nauseous. The yellow color is due to bile staining which doesn't tell much other than they are vomiting on an empty stomach. One possibility is that they ate something they were not supposed to like medication, a chemical (i.e. antifreeze), raw meat, or a plant (i.e. lilies). Vomiting is often the first signs of an exposure to a toxin, so I recommend checking if it's possible for them to have eaten anything other than their normal diet. Vomiting and nausea can also be due to an infectious disease, organ failure, or imbalance in the blood. In order to narrow down the possibilities, you would have to take them to the vet for an evaluation. This doesn't appear to be an emergency, but if they are acting very depressed and is vomiting continuously, then it would be best to take them to the vet sooner rather than later. If they are otherwise acting normal, then it's important to not give any food for the next eight hours, but make sure they have plenty of clean water available. If they are not vomiting in eight hours, then only feed a small amount of food (about 1Tbsp.). If they keep that down, then you can feed a little more in two hours. If the vomiting is continuing tomorrow, then it's best to take them to the vet for an evaluation. I'm sorry to hear that Oreo is sick. To answer your question, Leptospirosis often affects both the liver and kidneys, and it can potentially make them jaundiced (appear yellow) if the liver is that severely affected, though Lepto would not be my first thought based on only the information you've given above. Was a urinalysis done as well? What were his liver values? Was Oreo tested for leptospirosis? Has he had an abdominal ultrasound (sonogram of the belly)? Hi there. So sorry this happened. The photos are nice and clear but unfortunately I am unable to identify exactly what they may have been. That definitely looks like some type of tissue but what exactly, I don't know. It could be a cuterebra (bot fly). https://www.petful.com/pet-health/cuterebra-treatment/ If it was a bot fly she ingested it from the environment. It is not living inside her. I don't know if it is a cuterebra so I suggest you get her to your vet for an exam and a deworming just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps.
