The best things to do for simple tracheobronchitis (which is what I would equate laryngitis to) is to humidify his environment with either a warm air humidifier or by putting him in the bathroom while the shower is running so that the steam will moisten his throat and provide some moisture to his nasal passages. You can also either soften his kibble with some warm water or warmed low sodium chicken broth, or feed him canned food to ease swallowing. Typically these are viral infections and usually run their course in 7 - 10 days; however if Petey develops lethargy, decreased or absent appetite, or coughing, it may be a sign that this is a more serious situation, such as bacterial pneumonia, and he should see a vet right away.
