My dog has warts on paws and legs. Are they serious or spreading?

There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. These look like warts and tend to resolve over time. They should be removed for biopsy examination if not shrinking over 3mths or so. These can be caused by a virus and he may be infectious to other dogs

I would consider having this removed and biopsied. My concern is it is already ulcerated and will most likely need either oral or topical medication but if you wait to remove it and it continues to grow it is going to be very difficult to remove. The reason for this is because there is not a lot of skin in that location so they may not be able to close it adequately. Hello. These look to be very typical warts. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they do not start enlarging. Generally, the only time we worry about warts is if a pet begins to chew on them causing bleeding. Otherwise, it is just a sign of aging & there is no need to really worry about them. In your second picture it does look like Val might have a skin growth that could be a papilloma or wart, or might be something like an adenoma. I doubt that is the ultimate cause of her signs since both legs are affected. Her toes look red and I'd be suspicious of a secondary bacterial or fungal infection. Mites are possible and would show up on a skin scrape. Allergies might also be triggering these recurrent infections. I wouldn't recommend any home treatments especially since this is recurrent - I'd recommend talking to your vet to see what they would recommend as the next step.

I would recommend having these removed. Mainly because Jango won't leave them alone, they have grown and we cannot say if they are cancerous or not unless we have a biopsy.
