Why is my dog throwing up, not eating, lethargic, and heart racing?

It sounds like Ginny definitely has some GI distress going on if she is very lethargic, vomiting, and not eating. I would schedule a vet visit to have her examined if it continues, and if she seems in severe distress, has a very painful abdomen, or looks bloated, bring her in ASAP or to a local ER clinic. Various causes, such as general GI upset, obstructions, parasites, illness, pancreatitis, etc can all cause similar symptoms to this, so an exam to find the cause is best.

Karma needs to be examined by a vet right away, especially if she is breathing heavy. She could have pancreatitis, gastritis/enteritis, infection, parasite, foreign body, etc. Your vet can do an examination, lab-work, and take an x-ray to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. She may need an anti-vomiting medication, antibiotic, fluids, and other medications, depending on the cause. Please call your vet and have her examined so treatment can be started.

Loss of appetite and vomiting can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Layka evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. You can offer a bland diet which may help. This diet could be composed of rice, boiled chicken, ham, turkey, lean hamburgers or low fat cottage cheese. Hi, I would say based on your description of Ginger's recent activity, decrease in appetite, and vomiting that yes, she is certainly telling you that she does not feel well at all. There are many reasons medically for this sudden change. The best recommendation I can make for Ginger is to take her to your veterinarian so he/she can perform a good physical exam and determine the cause of these recent problems. He could have an infection, parasite, pancreatitis, kidney disease, liver disease, endocrine disease, obstruction/foreign body. Your vet can run labwork and take xrays to help diagnose and prescibe medications to treat. He may need fluids to prevent dehydration and medications to control the vomiting.

Lola is extremely sick. I see that she is unspayed, and her symptoms could be caused by a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. You have to take her into a vet immediately.

The lethargy, shaking or trembling, being withdrawn, and hanging her head down certainly can indicate that she is in pain or discomfort somewhere. Not eating or drinking can also by a sign of pain or that there is a problem with her intestinal tract or other systems in her body. All of these signs do not point to one specific problem, however, they do tell us that Chloe is definitely ill.
