My dog's eyes twitch, vomits, and kicks wildly. Is it a seizure?

The two big rule outs here would be seizure activity or syncope (like a fainting spell) that could be due to an underlying heart condition. I suggest you get him to your vet for an exam as soon as possible.

It's possible that this could have been a type of a seizure, but there are other conditions and behaviors that could mimic a seizure. If this continues, or Bruno is otherwise acting abnormal, then it's best to have him examined by a vet as soon as possible. If Bruno is otherwise acting normal, then there is no need to rush him to the vet, but it would be good to have a vet evaluate him sometime in the near future, because the vet may detect an underlying problem (i.e. heart or neurologic disease) causing this convulsing. That sounds like Jb had a seizure. I would recommend taking him in. I like to do blood work including checking thyroid levels. I’m looking for treatable things. He also needs a thorough neurological exam to see if there are any deficits. I don’t usually place on anti-seizure medication for one seizure. I do recommend keeping a seizure log- keeping track of what they were doing, how long it lasted.. etc I have been using Royal Veterinary College App for my personal dog. From your description, it does sound like Omega has had a seizure. I would have him seen by a vet first thing in the morning for this. If your dog seizures again before you can seek vet care: - Don't put your hands near his mouth - Keep some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to spray on the pads of the feet for cooling - Monitor him at all times during the seizure to ensure that he cannot hurt himself by crashing into furniture, etc - If the seizure continues for more than 5 minutes, seek emergency care immediately Best of luck, I hope this helps!

I would recommend taking him straight to an emergency clinic right away, and thinking about any toxins he may have been exposed to (rat or snail bait in your house or yard for example, cleaning supplies). It could be nothing, but it sounds like something that needs fully checked out right away.

Kelly could be showing signs of a neurologic disease if she seems disoriented during these episodes where she seems to hear or see things. It’s also possible that she has developed anxiety, or that she is painful. The vomiting could be a sign of a gastrointestinal problem. I think it sounds like you should make an appointment with your vet to have her examined and discuss the behavior change in more detail. A thorough physical exam would rule out pain and potentially a neurologic problem.
