Hello. Tracheal issues can encompass a range of problems & diseases, from a bacterial infection, bronchitis, malformation & collapse of the trachea. The only way to proceed with this is to have Chico evaluated. We have many ways of controlling especially the cough associated with a tracheal problem, from anti-inflammatory medications like steroids, antibiotics, anti-cough medications & surgery to implant a stent in the trachea & keep it open. The best place to start, besides here, is to contact your veterinarian for evaluation of what will work best for you & Chico. Thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
