My dog keeps throwing up but acts normal. When should I see a vet?

It sounds as Shiloh is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

If Shieyah is vomiting and not stopping I would recommend a veterinarian. They can provide a medication to stop the vomiting and make sure it is nothing to be concerned about, like pancreatitis or even a foreign body. If she vomited once. I would withhold food for about 6 hours and rec small multiple meals of boiled chicken and white rice or a prescription bland diet. If she gets worse after this then she needs to see a veterinarian. Dogs can vomit due to many conditions from stress, to ingestion of a foreign body or toxin, eating too quickly, intestinal parasites, or viral infections. If Onyx is acting normally, you can continue to monitor her at home. I recommend holding off food and treats until tomorrow morning, and then giving her only about 1/2 of her normal portion. She should have access to small amounts of water to prevent her from drinking too quickly and causing herself to vomit. She should be seen by a vet as soon as possible if you notice that she doesn't have an appetite or energy, or begins having diarrhea. I hope this helps and that Onyx feels better soon!

I hate to hear that Pantufla is not feeling well! Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours should be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet who is vomiting more than twice in a day or not holding down water also needs to be examined by the veterinarian. I am concerned that the shaking you are seeing indicates abdominal pain which is very worrisome for an intestinal blockage or pancreatitis. I recommend to have Pantufla examined today.
