Dog's stomach gurgling loudly with anxiety. What should I do?

Hello, thank you for your question about Walter. Based on the symptoms that you are describing I suspect that Walter is experiencing some mild stomach upset or indigestion. Since he is otherwise acting normal I would recommend continuing to monitor him for the next 24 hours. If at any time he develops any vomiting, diarrhea, or lack or appetite I would recommend having him evaluated by your veterinarian. Hope this helps!

The signs you are describing can be due to dietary indiscretion (a treat, human food, or something Watson shouldn’t be getting into outside), inflammatory bowel disease, or a food sensitivity. I recommend having Watson seen by his vet to make sure his diet is appropriate, and rule out intestinal parasites, infections, and food sensitivities. Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Mawi evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Hello, sorry to hear about Draco. It sounds like he may be having mild sings of an upset stomach. You can continue to monitor him for any vomiting, diarrhea, inappetence, or lethargy. If you note any of these, then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian. Otherwise, you can feed him a bland diet of plain white rice, skinless, and boneless boiled chicken, and low fat cottage cheese. If he has any other signs including panting, persistent vomiting, or retching and if his stomach becomes severely distended very fast, then he should be seen on emergency basis by a veterinarian. Hello. If Bromley is sleeping well, then it is probably not an emergency. If he were to start breathing very heavily, retching, pacing, drooling or acting at all painful, then you do need to have him looked at. But upset stomachs do occur in dogs. He may vomit, or have a day or two of diarrhea, but as long as he is eating, drinking & seems fairly normal & active, these things are pretty much self-limiting. If Bromley, however, seems at all unwell, or you are really concerned, it never hurts to have things checked out as soon as possible. You can try a bland meal or two of boiled rice and chicken to see if it helps settle Benji's stomach if it's due to minor GI upset. If the gurgling continues, or you see other issues such as vomiting or diarrhea, it could indicate something else such as internal parasites, underlying illness, food allergies, etc, which should be checked out by a vet. Bringing in a stool sample along with Benji to the vet can help rule out the more common causes of stomach upset.
