My dog is not herself and squeals when I touch her armpit.

Fleas live in the environment, not on the dog. They just on the dog to feed, and jump off when done. If you haven't disinfected your home, that may be why Sunnie is still itching and you are starting to itch. Wash his bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. If this doesn't help, then I'd be concerned it could be something else contagious going on like mange or ringworm. Then I would take him back into the vet, and have you see your doctor. Hello, sorry to hear about Lokina. The area definitely looks red and irritated with some hair loss like she may have been scratching it. As long as she is otherwise acting like her normal self and she is not bleeding or has a cut through her skin more towards the inside of her armpit then perhaps it does not need to be seen today. Things that may have caused that are things like insect bites, a tight fitting harness, scratching or getting cut with something, or fleas. If the area does not get better by tomorrow, or if she develops lethargy, a decreased appetite, or if she feels hot, the swelling worsens, or it becomes increasingly painful, then I would bring her to your veterinarian to have her evaluated. I would recommend having Misty checked out by the vet. It could be fly bites, but some of the pictures almost look like bruising, which could be caused by bleeding or autoimmune disorders. Your local vet will be most familiar with biting insects and pests to determine if this is a cause.

It is hard to say what is causing Bacardi's problems. The third picture you included looks like pus, which would indicate infection and would need antibiotics to treat. Some dogs can be allergic to fleas, and it may only take 1 bite to make them itchy all over. If you are seeing scabs from where you applied a flea medication or flea collar, it may be irritating the skin so I would recommend removing it and bathing with dog shampoo thoroughly. Causes of itching in dogs include fleas or flea allergies, mites, or skin infection. The hair in the second picture looks like normal shedding to me, but if you feel it is weird for Bacardi, it could be caused by inflammation or from the extra itching she is doing right now. You can try a shampoo like Dechra MalAcetic Ultra Shampoo, but if it doesn't respond in a day or two, Bacardi should be seen by a vet as she may need oral medications to control the itching.

This could be an infected fleabite. Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment:  1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. It's very possible that your Pet may have a type of mange and/or secondary bacterial infection. You'll want to visit your local Veterinarian and request a skin scraping to rule out the presence of any mite or mange. Be sure to wash your hands before and after touching your pet and wash any bedding in very hot water regularly.

It is good that you are aware that ticks can transmit diseases! RMSF as you said and Lyme disease are just two of them. Her behavior may or may not be related to the tick, but since some of these diseases can be lethal, I would recommend taking her (and the tick if you have it) to the vet. The right antibiotic can help most tick borne diseases significantly! I hope this helps!
