Allergies are most commonly due to an environmental cause and clipping the hair can expose the skin to potential allergins. I would assume this is the most likely reason he is experiencing allergies soon after the hair cut. Your dog may have had an allergic reaction to thee injectable. It is hard to know, since I do not know what medication your veterinarian injected. You should find out and write this down, so that next time you can tell the vet not to use this medication as your dog had a reaction to it.

It looks like Tobias is having an allergic reaction. It could be to something he ate that he wasn't a supposed to, an insect bite or even contract with a fabric or substance that is causing a reaction in his skin. Try a cool compress over the affected areas to help with swelling and inflammation. Check and see if he has any scratches or cuts that need to be cleaned. If he does, clean them gently with a clean washcloth and tap water. Do not use hydrogen peroxide as this will be very irritating to the damaged skin and if it gets in his eyes it could cause damage to his cornea. You can use some dilute Betadine (available at any pharmacy-- put some water in a cup and add just enough Betadine so that it looks like tea) if you are wanting to use something that is an antiseptic (kills bacteria).
