Why is my sheepadoodle restless, panting, constipated, and unsteady?

I'm sorry to hear that Bentley isn't feeling well. It is not surprising that he is not having bowel movements since he isn't eating. Possible causes of his panting, crying and loss of appetite could be due to orthopedic pain from arthritis or injury, organ dysfunction, pancreatitis (which can also be quite painful), among other issues. I strongly recommend taking Bentley to his vet for further evaluation to determine why these signs are occurring so that the most appropriate course of treatment can be started. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. However, the waxing and waning aspect is unusual for something like parvovirus making it less likely. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. You can start by changing his diet to see if it is possible that he has a sensitivity to his current diet perhaps. If no improvement, I recommend that you have Bruce evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. I cannot rule out, even though not likely in Schnoodles, a possible bloat and gastric torsion. I would recommend taking Pups to the vet. These symptoms are very concerning, and probably not related to her mammary nodule. It could be dietary intolerance or indiscretion, food allergy, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, IBD, pancreatitis, among others. The straining and liquid is likely severe diarrhea - similar to humans, you can strain with diarrhea and have nothing come out. The vet will do a thorough exam and may recommend blood work or x-rays to determine what is going on.

Poor guy. He may have gotten into something that upset his stomach. The panting can be a sign of discomfort; however if it continues for more than an hour or two, then it's best to get him seen by your vet. It is good that he had a regular bowel movement this morning. If the stools go back to being watery then I would suggest taking him to your vet for a fecal examination to check for parasites and also Giardia (often causes very watery stools). A dewormer and antibiotics may be needed to get his GI tract back to normal. In the meantime you can offer him a bland diet of boiled pain chicken and rice or cottage cheese to see if you can get his stomach to settle. Also 1-2 tsp of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) can help bulk up his stools a bit. I hope that Arlo is able to make a full and speedy recovery. Best wishes and take care.

I am worried about a respiratory infection / possible pneumonia. This needs to be addressed sooner rather than later so that antibiotic therapy can begin right away.
