My dog has painful paw blisters and can't walk. What should I do?

I would recommend that you have Mo examined by a vet. From the pictures, these don't look like blisters. They could be caused by allergies, foreign bodies, autoimmune disease, deep bacterial or fungal infection, etc. The vet may need to do a biopsy to see what the cause is so that Mo can receive appropriate treatment.

Place an e-collar (cone) on Pardi to prevent licking. Gently clean with a dilute chlorhexidine solution. You can apply a non stick pad and bandage lightly, but you will need to change the bandage when it becomes moist or dirty. There are no OC medications you can safely give for pain management. See your veterinarian as soon as you are able.

it is possible she may have a bacterial or fungal infection between her toes. This can be itchy and painful. Ideally, Bini should be examined by your veterinarian to confirm and treat any infection. She may need antibiotics and/or topical treatment. For now, place an e-collar (cone) on her to prevent further licking. An Epsom salt foot soak may provide temporary relief until she sees the doctor.

Ouch! Charlie's sores look like they are very inflamed and likely painful. I would recommend taking him in to your vet to have his skin and paws evaluated. He may need antibiotics for an infection as well as anti-inflammatory medication for pain and swelling. Some dogs need bandages as well to protect their feet when they walk from making sores like this worse and allowing them to heal.

Until you can get to your vet, it's best to keep the area clean and dry and to keep Bossy from licking at it with an Elizabethan (cone) collar. This can help reduce irritation.

Poor Sriracha (great name, by the way!) . The toes can be a very sensitive area, so I recommend you make an appointment to have Sriracha seen by a veterinarian, as it sounds like it is likely causing her pain. The lesion may indeed resolve itself, but it may be very sore until it does, and it's possible that it will take a very long time to heal or may not heal without medical intervention. Pain medications meant for humans can be very dangerous (and even deadly) for dogs, so I do not recommend giving any to your pup without consulting with your vet. Your veterinarian will perform a thorough exam, and may recommend imaging to check for any fractures or growths that may be causing the swelling. In some cases allergies, trauma, burns or objects embedded in the paw can also be the cause, but the only way to tell is to have Sriracha seen by a vet. Your vet can also prescribe safe medication to help with the pain if needed. Make sure you keep the area clean and dry, and put a cone / e-collar on Sriracha in the meantime to help prevent her from licking the area and making it work. I hope Sriracha feels better soon!

The fact that more than one toe is effected makes me more concerned that this is more than just a bacterial infection. While it is possible that bacteria are the primary problem, multiple toes being effected is concerning for a type of cancer or autoimmune condition. I recommend to have Coco examined by the veterinarian. The veterinarian may not be able to tell what this cause is by just a physical exam. They may try a round of antibiotics and monitor a response the therapy. If the lesions persist, biopsy is the next step. Not being able to walk is a sign that Coco is hurting.
