My pug is on Nurokind. What's the chance of recovery for his illness?

Poor guy. It sounds like Noddy has a serious issue affecting his neurological system or his musculoskeletal system. He needs to be seen right away by your nearest veterinarian for medications to help stabilize his condition. There unfortunately isn't anything you can give him at home for this type of condition, so it is best to take him in right away for bloodwork and potential x-rays to check for any signs of arthritis or degenerative joint disease that may explain his symptoms and offer a reasonable treatment plan to help him.

Injuries to the spine or muscles/nerves in the back can sometimes cause symptoms similar to what you are seeing, and pain meds and anti-inflammatory medications are often the first-line treatment for this to help reduce any swelling and let the area heal. Keeping Voodoo calm, quiet, and on leashed-only potty walks may also help with the healing process. If her symptoms are worsening, don't improve with the medication, or she seems in bad pain or distress, taking her back to the vet for additional exam and treatment may be needed.

I am so sorry to hear that her disease has progressed. Unfortunately if distemper starts to cause neurological symptoms then it is unlikely that she will recover. Typically seizure activity will follow in the near future. I am so sorry to relay this poor prognosis. However, every patient is different and there is always a chance of improvement. Hello, thank you for your question about Pogo. Based on the results attached and the evidence of jaundice I would be very concerned that Pogo is experiencing some kind of liver disease. There are many liver conditions that can lead to these signs such as infection, inflammation, gall stones, or cancer. If possible I would strongly urge you to have Pogo seen by a veterinarian that can perform an abdominal ultrasound. If this is not possible I would recommend having Pogo rechecked by your veterinarian and discussing antibiotics and other liver supportive medications. Hope this helps, good luck!

Poor Tommy! I would recommend contacting your veterinarian or taking Tommy back in today for a recheck visit, since it sounds like he's having some new symptoms now. This could be related to his original problem, or could be a side effect of the medication. Your veterinarian can re-evaluate him and advise you on what the next steps should be from here.

An antibiotic will only help with secondary bacterial infections as Distemper is a virus. The best thing you can do for Olive is supportive care in a veterinary hospital and provide adequate hydration, pain medication, anti-seizure therapy (if having seizures), etc. Distemper can be fatal and the best change Olive has is in a hospital receiving the most appropriate care. Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach, I am sorry to hear of Cooper's diagnosis. This can be very hard to say without seeing Cooper first. The prognosis does depend on if the disease was caught early or late, and what treatments Cooper is currently receiving. Younger animals generally fair a bit worse with a leptospirosis infection than older animals. Typically, prognosis is better if caught early and not so good if caught late in the game as the leptospirosis bacteria can cause organ damage in late or advanced stages.
