It is very unlikely they mated in that time frame if the male was not still tied (mounting) the female when you came back in the house. The best recommendations are to breed a female after 18 months of age to allow full maturity. if she is younger than a year then she may need a c section to help with delivery. It all depends on whether the male dog ejaculated or not. You can run a pregnancy test and/or an ultrasound at 28 days or have an X-ray done at day 50. Write down the date when they mated.
