My dog won't eat, is limping, and seems unwell after a booster shot.

Izzy may have sprained the leg. I would observe her and see whether it gets worse or better. Should the lameness get worse, have her examined by a veterinarian. Make sure she rests, and only leash walk her for the next few days.

Limping is a sign of pain, and some dogs will have a poor appetite with higher levels of pain. I would recommend that Jax be checked out by a vet to figure out why he is limping (possible bone fracture, muscle sprain, muscle spasm, etc.) so that he can be appropriately treated. Other causes of a poor appetite in a puppy include nausea from dietary intolerance or indiscretion, food allergy, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, among a few others. These can be discussed at the same appointment that is made to have the limp checked out.

Lameness, loss of appetite and energy are definitely concerning. This can be caused by tick borne diseases such as Lyme disease. There are also certain bone and joint diseases that only affect growing puppies, and need to be ruled out with an x-Ray. I recommend having your appointment sooner rather than later, you may want to call your vet and ask for an earlier appointment.

Take her out to toilet on a leash, and bring her right back in when she's done. If she still appears to have trouble with that leg after that time, then I would take her into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose what is causing this, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. She may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.

While you can see some pain after receiving vaccines, it should easy in 24-48 hours. Rest Simba. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to potty on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. Do not feel the area where he got the shots. You can apply a cold compress gently to that area to see if it helps. If he is still this way in the morning, have him seen by a vet.

I'm sorry Dory isn't doing well at the moment. I don't suspect that her symptoms are related to her getting her vaccines because she received them a week ago. I would expect to see any ill effects to have occurred much sooner. It could be that she is painful for some reason, and arthritis could be a cause. Arthritis can be common in middle aged dogs, and would lead to a reluctance to jump, go up or down stairs, and walk stiffly. Pain also reduces appetite. Give your vet a call in the morning to make an appointment. The vet can diagnose if she is in pain, what's causing it, and can prescribe her pain medications. Please do not give her any human ones, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Rest her tonight, take her out to potty on a leash and bring her right back in when she's done. However, those signs are rather non-specific and while I agree with you that something is likely wrong with him, further work-up would be needed to know what is causing him to be unwell. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. Likely diagnostics include bloodwork and radiographs if he appears to be in discomfort.
