What is this knot under my 1-year-old Corgi's eye? Should I worry?

If you are talking about the swelling underneath the eye I would be concerned about a toothroot abscess. When they have an infection in one of their teeth they can present like this. I would highly recommend bringing Sweety to a veterinarian. If you are talking about the growth on her eye this would need to be surgically removed if it is causing Sweety some discomfort. Hi. That is definitely some severe swelling. Due to its location and presentation, I would be very concerned about a tooth root abscess. These can occur even if the crown of the tooth appears normal. It takes an x-ray to fully diagnose it. Other possible causes of swelling like this in a young dog could include a bite from insect or spider, injury, trauma, or infection. Hello. Just based on where the lump is located, I would suspect that Rialy has an infected tooth root. The 4th premolar is a common cause of infections that will pop out just under the eye. You can keep the area clean with a little peroxide, but you will need to see your vet on Monday to confirm this. If it is an abscessed tooth, Rialy will be put on antibiotics & probably scheduled for a dental procedure to clean & possibly remove the tooth. He will be fine afterwards.
