My dog inhaled mosquito spray. What are the symptoms and next steps?

You did the absolute right thing by bathing Luna as quickly as you did! Since she is no longer showing any symptoms she should be fine. Keep a close eye on her for the rest of the day in case anything changes. Things to look out for are itchy/red/inflamed skin and any change in her breathing pattern (in case she breathed in any of the spray). If she is still acting normal over the next few hours you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you do notice any of these symptoms you should bring Luna in to the vet to be checked out.

Given that it was at least a week after the injection, I would not suspect it was the cause of her symptoms. If she was to experience a reaction to the injection, it would normally occur much sooner after the injection was normally given. Bees are very toxic to dogs, and it is possible that Ivy was stung by one even if you didn't happen to see it. Yes, this indeed may become life threatening and I recommend you seek an emergency appointment for intravenous fluids and supportive care at any clinic you can get. There is no appropriate home remedy for such a severe presentation but try to maintain fluid intake as far as possible if he is able to swallow and not vomiting

I sam so sorry that she’s not doing well. From what you describe, I’m very concerned about her and you need to seek emergency veterinary care immediately. Call your vet’s office even if they are closed—they likely have a recording for either how to contact the vet in case of an emergency, or information for the nearest vet clinic. There are many possible causes for what’s going on, but it sounds like at the very least she needs some IV fluids and some lab work and possible X-rays may be needed. I am so sorry there isn’t something I can suggest you do for her at home at this point, but if she’s just lying there, she seems cold, and her breathing is labored, you have got to get her to a vet. Hello, so sorry that Kiwi is having this issue. She looks extremely ill in the photo. If you can't take her to a vet then I am afraid that her chances at recovery are minimal at best. There is nothing I can tell you to do at home without knowing what the underlying cause of her symptoms are. There are many possibilities: * Amyloidosis * Atrial thrombosis * Congestive heart failure * Heat stroke * Hypothermia * Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) * Sepsis (severe infection) - common would be a uterine infection called pyometra * Toxicosis/poisoning * Trauma * Tumor / Neoplasia The only thing you can do at home is to keep her calm/quiet and warm. You can try syringing water into her mouth but without veterinary intervention I do not believe she will recover. Even with veterinary intervention she may not recover but that is going to be your best chance at saving her. Again, so sorry that you are having to deal with this and I hope she pulls through. Poor girl. These symptoms are highly suggestive of a toxin or drug intoxication. If this has been going on for more than 15-20 minutes duration, then I would highly recommend taking Bella Rose in to your local vet for a proper exam, diagnostic testing to hopefully pinpoint the problem, and treatment to help stabilize her condition. IF she did ingest a toxin, then the vet wil lhave to detox her quickly to help prevent any permanent damage on her organ systems, and also to prevent further absorption of the toxin in her gut. Another possible cause for these symptoms is a pyometra (spontaneous uterine infection). This can happen at any time in non-spayed female dogs and leads to septicemia which can cuase similar symptoms invvolved in a toxin ingestion. Tihs is also considered to be a serious condition and should be treated for as quicikly as possible by your vet. I hope that your fur baby Bella Rose is able to make a full and speedy recovery.
