Lesions like this could be several things including allergies, skin mites, ringworm (which humans can get) or endocrine disease. You can try adding in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing his diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. Protect the areas from licking or scratching and he may need to wear an Elizabethan collar at all times. If the lesions don't start looking better within about a week or if they get worse, have him examined by the veterinarian who may prescribe medications or recommend some bloodwork. This can be itchy but sometimes it is not. It is hard to say if this is really the cause or not without seeing Scratch first, but that is my best guess. I would have this confirmed with your veterinarian. They will do a skin scrape and a final culture. If it is ringworm, Scratch will need to be on anti fungal medication for several weeks. This can be signs or possible bacterial or fungal skin infection. I would recomend a vet visit to diagnose Katie's skin disease. After an exam the vet may want to perform a cytology or fungal culture to determine what is causing these lesions.

Consider a consultation with a veterinary dermatologist. Frequently, bilateral hair loss in that area is caused by a thyroid condition. You can have blood submitted to Michigan State University for a comprehensive thyroid function panel. There seems to be many bumps/irritation in the area. An extended course of antibiotics may resolve a stubborn skin infection. I can see that Alfie has a small lump, that appears raised and hairless on his skin. This can be an infection, buried tick or healing wound - unfortunately, I am unable to say exactly what this is from a photo. I recommend having Alfie seen by a vet, especially if this is a tick, to have it removed and antibiotics prescribed. In the meantime, you can shave he area if you have a clipper at home and keep it as clean as possible, an E-collar or "cone" can help prevent Alfie from licking the area and causing further trauma. An infection could cause bumps and hair loss. A common cause of skin infections in young pit bulls is mange (demodex). These are microscopic mites that don’t cause scratching. I recommend taking Nohea to a vet for a close exam of her skin. They will need to look at cells under the microscope to diagnose this.
