Congratulations on recently adopting Chinook! Teeth in animals are numbered by their position in the mouth and if they are permanent (adult) or deciduous (puppy/baby) teeth. A fracture of 704 means that Chinook's lower left deciduous canine tooth was fractured. At this point, he should have all of his permanent teeth in place, so this fractured tooth likely already fell out. I hope this helps!
