My dog fell down stairs, eye bruised but acting normal. Vet visit?

If your kitten is acting normally now then I would not be too concerned. If however she starts acting confused, overly tired, is unable to see, or is walking abnormally, I would be worried about head trauma and she would need to be seen by your veterinarian.

Poor Cam! The bruising and blood shot eyes are probably due to the head trauma of the door hitting him. If he is acting normal (active and alert, eating and drinking fine, etc.) then it should be okay to monitor him at home for the next few days to make sure that he continues to do well. If he is acting lethargic, not eating, or seems dizzy or uncoordinated, these are signs of serious head trauma - in that case, he needs to be seen by an emergency vet right away.

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. Strangulation injuries can be severe and have long lasting effects. This is especially true with lung damage as it can show up after the incident. She likely has broken vessels in the tissues lining her eyes due to the trauma. She may require eye medications to help them heal. I hope this information helps!

I can see that the sclera (white part of the eye) does look a little red in your last picture. This could be from trauma but can also be seen with conjunctivitis or even a corneal ulcer. Given Mitzer's breed I would recommend seeing a vet to make sure the cornea does not appear affected. They can also look at the lens and the back of the eye to make sure there is nothing abnormal that would cause a difference in the reflection from the back of the eye.

Poor Milo. Given that his eye is a bit puffy and there is some discharge, I don't think it's best to wait another day. Any eye problem should be checked out promptly by a vet. I'd take him into a vet today.

In my experience, injuries like this often take a bit of time to manifest. Usually there is at least some soreness involved, and even though it doesn't sound like anything is broken, I would recommend a vet visit to be sure. It's kind of like straining something at the gym - you often don't feel the pain for several hours, and you vet can give him a bit of an anti-inflammatory pain medication to help him be more comfortable.
